Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Since the late 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett originates from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett and her sister, aged five, old, moved from New York to St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the divorced father. Bassett was at the age of high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of becoming an actor had been realized. Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she continued to pursue a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was an actor in the same group. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree in African American studies in 1980.
